The PC I was building with my son for the first time, but I wanted to try it out, AMD was the obvious choice Ryzen 5 5600G processors in the performance price ratio made the best sense. I had a Ryzen 1600X until now. It didn't support Win 11. As far as system speed goes, I don't see a difference from the old CPU.
