So far, I'm thrilled. I use it in winter to dehumidify a 1.8 x 2 m attic bathroom with a window high in the roof, where, despite ventilation after bathing, water condenses madly. Initial state for comparison: every morning, all the glass was wet in such layers that it dripped down the wall. I turn the dehumidifier on overnight and off in the morning. The reservoir fills up completely after more than a week of intermittent operation. Yet somehow, over time, the water disappeared from the window, or rather. there's just a little dewy strip around the frame in the morning. Which is a total blast - it's pulling water from above. It has an extremely quiet start-up. If it wasn't on, I wouldn't know it was on. When it warms up, it starts to hum, but it's not a disaster. I wouldn't put it by the head of my bed, but I stick it by the clothes rack in the living room and it's not a major distraction. And through a closed door, not at all. I would say that the local negative evaluation comes from people wanting too much for nothing. This is a small fly. If you put it on a window, you'll mistake it for a flower pot. The grid through which it takes in air is 10 x 10 cm, so logically it can't hold much. If you need to dehumidify a larger room, you simply have to buy a unit with a higher price, larger size, higher wattage and more power. By the way, the maximum output of 300 ml per day is at a temperature of 30 °C and a relative humidity of 80%. It decreases with lower temperature, which is probably why the results are so different. 2 tips: Give it space. You can't put it between the junk, it has to have space around it. The opening is perfectly fine - the cover does not slide forward or backward. You need to grab it on the sides and pull it up, or push your fingernail into the groove. It folds out similarly to e.g. the lid on the can. The wire's inside. You're welcome.
Great for keeping the bathroom ventilated in the winter.
The trick with turning off the backlight remains a mystery to me, but I'd leave it on anyway.

I compared it with the larger Concept OV1200 model. This model dehumidifies constantly, unlike the larger version. Thus, with enough patience or more pieces, it will reduce the humidity even below 60%. It's also quieter than the larger model at its lowest output.
Two OV1100s will dry more than one OV1200 for the same money
Quieter than the OV1200 even though Alza says otherwise
Into a larger room, patience is needed.
