Extremes of overheating
Large capacity compared to earlier drives in this size.
Speed?
Extremely overheated in place of the original disk that was in the laptop, burned out the original pad that is under the disk.
Even in normal operation, extreme temperatures, I don't know if this is correct, some will say that 100-110 Celsius is the norm but it seems a lot to me, the original drive had about 60-70 Celsius. (normal hourly operation).
For longer and more demanding work, temperatures can go up to 140 Celsius. Which seems extreme to me.
Measured with a high range laser thermometer (+-1% accuracy)
