Seamlessly scans to jpg, pdf (even multi-page) and other formats
simple clear software
easily portable
connected only to USB (micro USB on the scanner)
straightforward easy installation
no problem under Win10
excellent price/performance ratio
a bit noisier mechanics (nothing terrible)
somewhat awkwardly placed direct control buttons (I never use them anyway, so I don't care)

Compact, light to carry, cheap, solid image scan quality, lots of DPI settings up to 4800 quality.
Epson Scan is intuitive and easy to understand.
Very slow - this is probably due to bad drivers transferring via USB. (W7/64bit).
The Epson Easy Photo Scan is a total piece of crap.

Fast - 300 dpi scanning (grayscale and color) is as fast as a preview.
Stable software - even multi-page scans (PDF output) always successfully executed, no freezing or interupt.
The software works - including excellent OCR in CZ for PDF outputs.
The biggest disappointment is in the order of trifles:
The scanning software cannot save the scanning parameters set in the template - when scanning multiple pages, it is necessary to change the scanning parameters when changing the nature of the master (text / image). Fortunately, it saves the parameters - it reads them when the computer starts/scans.
The Auto Page Turn and Auto Page Align features work well only on standard templates with text. Submissions with images and/or submissions with text in all sorts of graphical ways often get shrunk in the output and these functions have to be turned off (but so did the software on my old HP scanner).
