It holds well
It works not only on the gel pad, but also on different and shiny surfaces - table top etc.
It doesn't need any other application, Windows recognizes it and sets it up

Although it is slightly smaller than the Logitech Vertical MX, it fit my hand better. However, I have a big complaint about the location of the wheel -- it's too close to the palm of your hand and your finger has to be bent a lot to use the wheel. The bigger issue for me was the smoothness/smoothness of the controls -- I don't know if it was the bad transmission or the sensor, but it drove me to fix the aforementioned Vertical MX in a rage.
