It works exactly why I bought it. Through this device, men can mirror the content of their phone, tablet, PC on the previously "dumb" TV.

It'll turn the old "dumb" TV into a "smart" one.
Easy pairing of TV and phone
Running YouTube, Netflix, HBO Go or photos from your phone on your TV is a matter of an extra click on your phone
You can mirror the entire device, including the phone's desktop, etc.
Includes long USB cable for power supply
Compared to cheap smart TVs, this is a much smarter and easier solution
Ability to "project" from any device that is currently connected to the Wi-Fi without lengthy device verification
No charging adapter included - the manufacturer assumes it can be charged via USB on the TV, but not every TV has USB (most mobile phone chargers will do)
Occasionally Wi-Fi drops out at 2.4GHz, I haven't tried at 5GHz yet
It's not for playing games on TV, games lag a lot

Everything works as stated.
It doesn't know why I bought it in the first place. Play streams from Tipsport and Fortuna sportsbooks.
