I would say the sound quality is average. On my Panasonic SC-PM250BEGS it is subjectively a bit better quality, when comparing DAB+ CRo Radio at 64kbps on both receivers. But the main thing here is the connectivity options, it's like driving a Trabant all your life and then switching to a superb. Of course, this also results in a greater complexity of setup and control, so this JVC radio is not entirely intended for those who are not too familiar with such technologies. Tested both official apps from the Google store, UNDOK and Oktiv, functionally they are almost identical, but the newer Oktiv has a more modern look. The look of the radio is stylish and the build quality hopefully too, I hope the JVC brand still means something.
Personally, I can only compare it with my Panasonic SC-PM250BEGS, which I also bought on Alza four years ago. My Panasonic is definitely more stylish and appropriate for my room, while this JVC is again more suited to our kitchen. We probably won't buy a radio for other rooms (even the most necessary ones): o)

I bought it based on the reviews here, but I'm returning it tomorrow. The sound has bass, but it lacks absolute highs and overall it sounds muddled. Eqializer has several presets and custom settings, but the differences are minimal. The recently purchased JBL Tuner2 plays audibly better /just doesn't have internet radio/.

so far satisfaction plays really very clean, somewhere they wrote that even do not recommend using eqalizer, everyone has different ears and listens to different types of music I listen to pop and switching just to pop the sound again, a little shifted for the better.
