I switched from the Motorola One Action, which I owned for three years and was extremely happy with. After three years the battery didn't last a full working day and last month it completely shut down about 3 times a week. I was looking for a worthy successor at a price under 10k and preferably a Motorola. Edge 30 Neo was the obvious choice. It fits beautifully in the hand, it is light, nimble, the battery lasts the whole working day without a problem, even the whole weekend. The wireless charging is also nice and I was very pleased with the smoothly functioning in-display fingerprint reader. The lack of 4K video doesn't bother me that much. As a weakness I perceive worse focusing at shorter distances. Sometimes you need to repeat the focus 3 or 4 times before it succeeds. What I really miss, however, is the two-button control function I was used to from One Action. I don't use the three-button controls at all, and the gesture controls are a bit problematic at times. If I use e.g. Adobe reader, so if I want to go back to the desktop, I can swipe the screen to unroll 2 pages. Same thing when using the back gesture it sometimes doesn't work quite right and I slide somewhere else than I need to. But otherwise it's a very nice phone that doesn't pick your pocket.

If you're looking for a small phone with decent specs, you have very few options. I was choosing from the Google Pixel 6 (punishingly slow charging), the iPhone (I prefer the pear) and this Motorola. I'm happy with the choice, so far I haven't discovered anything that bothers me.

I liked the phone the first time I saw it when it was introduced in Milan. Normally I only like flagships, but to be honest, I'm a little tired of them. Because if you don't play games, you don't need them. What caught my eye about this Motorola was the size. It fits beautifully in the hand. I have a black color that is elegant. As far as control goes, there is no better in android today than that of this manufacturer. Gestures, pure android with light additional and mainly practical features. The phone is fast, clear, it works really well. The sound is also top-notch. Daytime photos - I couldn't tell the difference from the flags. It shoots just like a mobile phone, great for snapshots, not so great for bigger photos. Surprised by the night mode, it helps a lot. The battery is excellent, I give about less than two days. And I'm always calling, texting, navigating, etc. Updates are coming, promised is android 14. Then just security patches. That's not important to me, I'll probably have another phone in three years anyway. Or maybe not, because this machine is really good. It's a balanced mid-range phone with extra wireless charging. If you need something to do and have fun with, I definitely recommend it. Motorola edge 30 neo is really good.
