The first pair I bought arrived unworking but Alza replaced them within a couple of days; the replacement works fine. I've been using it a lot for swimming but also while hiking. The sound is only OK, but I think that's a combination of the bone conduction tech and the budget category. While linked to bluetooth it's fine for out-of-water use. The onboard memory makes it usable in and under the water. However, the firmware design for the onboard player is like something from 2005; it's MP3 only (seriously! I had to convert almost every track I added) and you can only skip forward or back, one track at a time. There's no way to navigate folders, organise playlists or even shuffle. There's room for thousands of tracks, but you need to choose everything you want to listen to on the computer and then move only those tracks across or it's unusable. So it's a decent product at the price but seriously let down by crappy programming.
