The first camera didn't work with Skype or Teams, so I returned it for the same one and the second one doesn't communicate with Skype or Teams either !

the camera is switched off in macOS - when not in use, the OS can see it, but the camera does not capture either video or sound - it must be disconnected and plugged into a PC to make it work again. Of course, you won't find out that it's off until you hear you on Teams
