I tried it as an alternative to the original and the Platinum model. The Patona Protect has about 85% of the capacity of the original, but noticeably more overheating in long 4K50p 10bit shooting on Fuji X-T4 (all flashlights get very hot in this mode). However, it had a lower capacity in tests than the Platinum model at the same price, so I preferred that one.
What I still don't like is that almost all W235 flashlights I've tried don't show the charge capacity well. You happen to be filming, the red flashlight pops up, as if the battery is completely dead, but you can film for another 30min. Not only the original does this.
But the decisive thing for me was that it is made with a different tolerance, and is therefore just a bit bigger than the original, which means that getting it out of the camera is not just removing the lever that holds it, but you need to shake the camera a bit. If it does inflate over time for some reason, I don't know how I would get it out.
Production quality
A little bigger than the original, so it doesn't spontaneously "fall out" of the camera under the lever opening. You need to help her and shake the camera a little.
