I do not recommend the reader to anyone. It worked perfectly fine for the first six months, but after that it started getting stuck more and more often - while turning pages, loading books, etc. it got stuck and I had to restart it every time. This phenomenon appeared more and more often, then I basically just restarted 5 times in 20 minutes of reading. I tried to do a factory reset and during the process the reader got stuck completely. I took it to the first complaint, even the seller in Alza couldn' t get it to work, so he sent it away. From the first complaint, it came back to me with a rejection of the reason for the defect, but it really worked when I took it over at the store. After about 2 days, it started to get stuck again, and after less than a week I took it in for a claim, and it was completely stuck again. 2. the claim was again rejected by the Pocketbook service, and the reader also arrived at the store with a broken display (fortunately discovered after taking it over at the store under cameras). So we sent it back with the employee of the Alza branch and started a round of arguing about who is to blame, Pocketbook charged less than 2,000, - for the repair. Fortunately, I was helped by the staff of the Alza branch (thank you for their help and willingness), who sent the recordings from the cameras, which clearly showed that I brought the reader mechanically undamaged. In the end, they repaired the reader for free. When I picked it up at the store, I casually tried to turn it on, it worked. I brought it home, finished reading the paper book, and when I tried to turn it on after less than two weeks, it doesn' t work again. I tried charging with different chargers for 3 days, so it probably won' t be the case. I don' t know what else to add, I' m taking it to the 4th complaint in the last 3 months, with the fact that due to the rejection of the first two, I still can' t even ask for a refund. Basically, I only have the reader on my bedside table, so I rule out a mechanical defect.
Pocketbook never again, absolutely terrible service! The only positive I see is the willing help of the workers from the Alza branch in Beneš.
