I have been using Pocketbook readers for many years and this is the best reader I have owned so far. It's great to read on and I really appreciate the G-sensor, which allows me to hold the reader not only from the side but also from the bottom.

I'm comparing to the older generation Kindle incl. Paperwhite circa 2018 - the impression is a step backwards in ergonomics, I voted for PocketBook because of the mechanical buttons, but I'll probably end up skipping them and going back to Kindle.
Basically, it works
The processing seems nice
Convenient way to change brightness
Slow startup/shutdown, overall impression of slow response, controls seem generally unpolished
The buttons could be quieter
The mode of conversion to spoken speech is really a crash, it doesn't read some Czech letters, it doesn't pause (paragraph, end of chapter, etc. ).

I have been satisfied with PocketBook readers for a long time. Plus in the latter there is Cloud sync where I read on my mobile/reader and progress is transferred. All formats, lasting for me about a month. After making minor changes to the settings, I set the controls exactly as I like them. Thanks for the stamina is slower movement in the system (when reading everything fast as it should be) and occasional jams, but it really so once a year and resolves the reboot. I had a larger HD 3+ before, and I accidentally crunched the display. I find the Era to be more durable and ultimately as it is smaller it is better to carry and use for books. And I have a tablet for comics and PDFs.
