The drive is designed directly for the Xbox, so we were spared basically all the setup - just put it in the slot.

My opinion on the much-discussed purchase price: If you get an Xbox S Series, you can very quickly find yourself in a scenario where you install, for example, Flight Simulator with updates and Forza Horizon 5, and you have 95% of the internal storage taken up, as the real capacity is around 350GB. 1 TB external SSD storage for about 4 000 CZK from Seagate or WD does not make sense - the purchase price of Xbox Series S about 6 500 CZK + 4 000 CZK for 1 TB SSD will cost you 1 000 CZK more than the PS5 on sale. But 6 500 CZK + 2 500 CZK for 512 GB SSD is already about 2 000 CZK less than PS5. Realistically, you get about 350 GB + 456 GB, almost the same as the real storage capacity of the PS5. For the money you save, you can have GamePass Ultimate for half a year or one AAA game. On the other hand, there are plenty of advantages that the PS5 offers. Let everyone make up his own mind.
Quality of workmanship
512GB option ideal for Xbox S Series
Absolutely simple installation on Xbox
Easily remove and insert into another Xbox X/S Series
The real free capacity is 456 GB
Higher purchase price
