The Redmi Note 17 5G has a large 770mAh battery which lasts a really long time, easily two days of standard use. The system runs smoothly, with no lag anywhere. The main rear camera is very decent for this price category. It only records video in a maximum resolution of Full HD without stabilisation. There are too many unnecessary pre-installed applications.
very long battery life
Lovely big display, easy to read even in the sun.
smooth system operation
Decent main camera
durability
5G networks
video recording only in Full HD
a range of pre-installed apps

I've only had the phone for a short time, but for this price category, it has been a very pleasant surprise. The camera takes decent photos, the large battery capacity is great, and so is the memory card slot. For basic use – calls, messages, social media, and the odd photo – it's more than sufficient.

Excellent value for money. Before this phone, I had the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, which I was very happy with. This one definitely has a worse camera, but for undemanding users, it's fine. Good battery life. I really appreciate the very simple and quick phone setup and the transfer of all data from my old phone. Interesting colour scheme.

Interesting colour scheme
lots of pre-installed apps
An average camera, but sufficient for undemanding users.
It could easily be smaller.

I've only had the phone for a short time, but my first impressions are great. For the price, it offers a nice display, smooth performance, and the camera takes very good photos. I also like the battery life and the overall build quality of the phone. For everyday use, social media, photos, videos, and the internet, it's completely trouble-free. For me, it's good value for money and so far I'm happy with my purchase. 👍

It's a shame a charger isn't included.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the mobile phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 5G 6GB/256GB Black) and I definitely don't regret this purchase. Superb build quality, features and price/performance ratio. I recommend it.
7,700mAh battery capacity and fast charging (thanks to reverse wired charging, it also doubles as a power bank and can be used to charge your smartwatch, headphones or another mobile on the go)
These days, the memory card slot supporting up to 2TB is quite a rare feature. Alternatively, you can use 2 SIM cards at once instead of the memory card.
comes with a perfectly pre-applied screen protector on the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display
The package also includes a back cover (soft, dark grey to black) and a data cable (USB-A to USB-C) that supports ultra-fast charging.
support for the fast 5G network and the 256GB capacity of this particular model
6+2/4/6GB RAM (i.e. up to 12GB after setting up memory expansion)
refresh rate up to 120Hz (again, this needs to be set from the default to a custom selection)
IP65 rating with protection against water jets, including Wet Touch 2.0 technology for easier screen control, especially in bad weather outdoors, in the rain, or during winter.
wireless infrared technology for remote control of TVs and various devices
NFC chip for contactless payments and other functions
option to increase the volume up to 200%
suitable for long-term daily use: large, readable display, long battery life, durable construction and updates for 6 years
a bit too many pre-installed apps for my needs (but nothing that couldn't be uninstalled with a few clicks)
Poorer availability of other cases and covers, for example, I could only find a flip wallet case in two colour options thanks to Alza and their AlzaGuard brand.
and as is now customary with us, the package does not include a power adapter (ideally one with a USB-C output and supplied directly with a double-sided USB-C cable for potential use with reverse wired charging of other devices with the same connector)
