If you don't want to play demanding games and want a mobile for 5–6 years with a large battery that lasts, this is the one.

REDMI NOTE 17 PRO MAX 512GB, decent design, huge battery capacity that lasts a long time, the charging speed is great and it also has a perfect display. The back is matte, so it doesn't show fingerprints.

A good buy for me, for a reasonable price. The biggest draw is the battery life. I recommend it.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G pleasantly surprised me with its speed, quality display, and long battery life. The phone feels premium, has plenty of power and storage, and is great to use for both daily work and entertainment. For its price, it offers a very good performance-to-features ratio.

A huge step up from the Redmi Note 12. It feels luxurious, my wife loves how the back cover changes colour in the light. The display is brilliant and the speed is superb. We only have a 67W charger at home and charging took less time than with the old mobile, but the battery capacity is obviously on a completely different level. After one day of intensive use, it's still at more than 63%. So far she's only tried a few features and taken a bunch of photos and she's thrilled.
Heavier and larger, might not suit everyone, but the battery and its life are worth it.

I'm upgrading from a Redmi Note 13 Pro+, its biggest weakness was the battery life (cycling/skiing with tracking - it didn't even last a single day) and the AMOLED screen was completely unreadable in the sun (a standard LED from Poco easily outperformed it). Now the manufacturer is promising improvements, which I'm banking on. But I haven't tested that yet because summer has just ended.
Decent battery life considering the size of the phone.
Even with the included case, it doesn't feel like a 'brick'.
HyperOS, apart from a few persistent minor flaws, allows for very good layout customisation/utilisation.
Transferring from the old phone to the new one was reliable (Mi Mover).
The Wi-Fi keeps freezing, the only solution is to restart it (might be an individual hardware fault)
For that price it could have had 512GB, or the option for an additional SD card.
The camera/lens setup is strange and unintuitive, it only has two modes, 12/50MPx.

After one day of use, I can say that the phone has really good battery life, which corresponds to its weight. The photos are fine in my opinion. The only thing I've noticed is the weaker Wi-Fi signal range. Where I used to have internet with my old mobile, I can't get a connection now.
