Brand history
Laboratoires La Prairie was founded in 1931 and immediately gained worldwide acclaim due mainly to its foudner, professor Niehans, who treated patients using advanced cell therapy. Over the years, this revitalising treatment has developed into an efficient method of combating aging as well as chronic viral diseases.
During his career, Professor Niehans treated tens of thousands of patients, including many famous celebrities. Laboratoires La Prairie's biggest success came in 1953, when Pope Pius XII underwent successful revitalising treatment.
The following years brought significant breakthroughs, with the discovery of many natural active substances that supported beautiful and healthy skin.
In the early nineties, the Laboratories La Prarie joined with German company Beiesdorf, which gave rise to the La Praire brand.
