AlzaPower battery safety information

Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Use only in accordance with the product's intended purpose and the device manufacturer's instructions. Dispose of used batteries at designated collection points for batteries and accumulators. Do not dispose of batteries in municipal waste.

Warning: All AlzaPower batteries and accumulators are intended solely for use in accordance with their intended purpose. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in damage to the device, injury, fire, death, or other damage. Always follow the instructions provided by both the device and battery manufacturer.

Alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V)

Safety instructions

  • Do not insert batteries with reversed polarity (+/-).
  • Do not mix new and used batteries.
  • Do not mix different brands, types, or capacities of batteries.
  • Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.
  • Do not expose to fire, high temperatures, or incinerate.
  • Do not disassemble or puncture batteries.
  • Prevent short-circuiting of battery contacts.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • In case of electrolyte leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
  • In case of contact with leaked electrolyte, immediately rinse the affected area (skin or eyes) with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

Storage

  • Store in a dry and cool environment.
  • Protect from direct sunlight.
  • Keep in original packaging until use.

Disposal

  • Do not dispose of in mixed waste.
  • Hand over to designated battery collection points. 

Rechargeable NiMH batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V)

Safety instructions

  • Charge only with a charger designed for NiMH accumulators.
  • Follow the charger manufacturer's instructions.
  • Do not use damaged or deformed batteries.
  • Do not disassemble, puncture, or incinerate.
  • Do not expose to high temperatures or open flames.
  • Prevent short-circuiting of contacts.
  • Do not mix charged and discharged batteries.
  • Do not mix different capacities, brands, or types of accumulators.
  • Do not leave batteries charging unattended or overnight.
  • Do not throw into fire.

Storage

  • Store partially charged.
  • Store in a dry place at room temperature.
  • For long-term storage, we recommend regular checks of the charge level.

Disposal

  • Hand over accumulators to designated collection points for batteries and accumulators. 

Primary lithium batteries (CR123A, CR2 and other non-rechargeable lithium batteries)

Safety instructions

  • Do not attempt to recharge batteries.
  • Do not disassemble, puncture, crush, or deform.
  • Do not expose to temperatures above 60 °C, fire, or incinerate.
  • Do not short-circuit contacts.
  • Do not use damaged batteries.
  • In case of overheating or deformation, stop using the battery.
  • Do not expose to water or other liquids.

Fire hazard

  • Lithium batteries can cause fire, explosion, or leakage of hazardous substances if used incorrectly.

Storage

  • Keep in original packaging.
  • Protect from metal objects.
  • Store away from heat sources.
  • Ideally store at a temperature of 10–25 °C.

Lithium coin cell batteries (CR2032, CR2025, CR2016 and others)

IMPORTANT WARNING

  • Coin cell batteries are dangerous if swallowed.
  • Swallowing can cause serious internal injury, chemical burns, tissue perforation, or death within a short period.
  • Emergency contact: In the Czech Republic, call the Toxicological Information Centre: +420 224 919 293 or the emergency line 155.

Safety instructions

  • Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Ensure that the battery compartment in the device is always securely closed.
  • If you suspect that a child has swallowed a battery or inserted it into any part of their body, seek medical attention immediately.

  • Charge only with chargers designed for Li-ion batteries.
  • Use only compatible devices.
  • Do not use damaged, swollen, or deformed cells.
  • Do not disassemble, puncture, or crush batteries.
  • Do not expose batteries to water or high humidity.
  • Do not expose to temperatures above 60 °C.
  • Do not expose to fire, high temperatures, or incinerate.
  • Prevent short-circuiting of contacts.
  • Do not use the battery if it shows signs of overheating, odour, liquid leakage, or deformation.
  • In case of contact with leaked electrolyte, immediately rinse skin or eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

Fire and thermal runaway hazard

  • Incorrect use of lithium-ion batteries can lead to overheating, fire, explosion, or leakage of hazardous substances.
  • Charging
  • Use only recommended charging equipment.
  • Do not leave batteries unattended while charging.
  • Do not use damaged chargers or cables.

Storage

  • The recommended charge level for long-term storage is approximately 30–60% of capacity.
  • Store in a cool and dry place.
  • Protect contacts from contact with metal objects.
