Electronic Ignition

Electronic ignition is a mechanism used to ignite a flame on a stove without the need for an external source, such as matches or a lighter. Most commonly, this is known as “piezo ignition.” This system works based on the piezoelectric effect, in which mechanical pressure on a special crystal creates an electrical discharge in the form of a spark. This spark jumps across the burner and ignites the escaping fuel mixture. The user simply turns the gas valve and presses the ignition button.
