A fitness paddleboard is a type of paddleboard specifically designed for exercises on the water, such as yoga, Pilates, or strength training. Its main characteristic is high stability, achieved through greater width and often thickness compared to regular paddleboards. This provides a firm and secure platform for performing various exercises. The board's shape is often wider with a rounded nose and tail, which further increases stability at the expense of speed and maneuverability during longer paddling sessions. The entire surface is covered with a soft, non-slip mat, known as a “deck pad”, which resembles an exercise mat and ensures comfort and grip during movement. Some models may also be equipped with additional attachment points for exercise accessories or a paddle holder, so that the paddle does not get in the way during exercise.
