Outdoor Camera

An outdoor camera is a type of camera designed for use in harsh environments where normal equipment could be damaged. Its main characteristic is its increased resistance to external influences. It can be waterproof, allowing photography underwater at a certain depth, dustproof, shockproof when dropped from a defined height, and often freezeproof, so it works in sub-zero temperatures. The degree of protection against water and dust is often indicated by a standardized code "IP" (for Ingress Protection), where higher numbers mean higher resistance. Its rugged construction with sealed joints and covers makes it suitable for activities such as diving, climbing, skiing or for use on construction sites and in dusty environments.
