A Windsup paddleboard, sometimes referred to as a "windSUP", is a hybrid board that combines the characteristics of a paddleboard and a windsurfing board. It differs from the classic model primarily by an integrated threaded insert in the deck, to which the windsurfing sail's mast foot is attached. This allows the use of wind power for propulsion. For better stability and the ability to go upwind, these boards are often equipped with an additional central fin, known as a daggerboard or centreboard, which limits lateral drift. When the sail is not attached, the board serves as a standard paddleboard, making it versatile equipment for recreational paddling and learning the basics of windsurfing in light winds.
