I switched from a 5K iMac to a Macbook plus this monitor and it was quite a success at first. The picture is not nearly as sharp, the writing is blurry and the colours are not distinct and not contrasting. Then I took the iMac off the table and after two weeks I don't even find it anymore. But it's true that after working all day, my eyes are more tired than on the Mac. The extra space is great. The question is whether it's worth the money. Let everyone consider that for themselves.

Really enough space for all windows and apps
fast switching between inputs and split view
the speakers are really weak
after switching from Apple's 5K Retina, the image sharpness just isn't there
colours are also not nearly as sharp and rich as Apple displays
could have more usb-c port
