After a previous experience with Apple's USB C connectors, when after less than a year the connector in my iPad broke (two pins bent), I bought this cable just for the iPad, I'm not going to undergo that costly repair of the connector again and this cable is the perfect solution for that, it completely eliminates the risk of damaging the port, because you just need to plug it in once and you're done.
It's working as it should.
