Good buy while keeping the AM4 socket
heats a lot, can be adjusted in bios

The processor is excellent and in games that use a lot of cpu (for example, the DLC Phantom Liberty for CyberPunk 2077) can pick up a lot especially min. FPS and overall makes the game much smoother. The processor in some games (for example, just Phantom Liberty) is touching the latest 3D processor - 7800x3D (of course in higher resolutions). In this game, you can see a big difference between the 5600x and this processor with the RTX 4070 ti graphics card. https://www.pcgameshardware.de/Cyberpunk-2077-Spiel-20697/Specials/Phantom-Liberty-Release-CPU-Review-Test-AMD-Intel-Vergleich-1428779/2/ It is advisable to carry out the so-called. undervoltage (Curve optimizer) because without this it achieves higher temperatures and lower maximum frequency. In addition, consumption is significantly reduced. There is a huge amount of guidance on this. For me - temperatures before subvolting about 80 degrees, then about 65 in the Phantom Liberty, where the processor is really highly loaded with a consumption of about 70 watts (originally about 105). The price could be lower overall. Even though I was buying on sale. Now the 5700x3D is due out, which may be similar in performance, but cheaper. The price of this processor could therefore drop.
performance compared to 5600x
prolonging the life of the generation
low consumption
stable maximum clock speed after subvoltage
higher price
it is necessary to perform the so-called. undervoltage (curve optimizer) without it higher temperatures and consumption

I was switching from a Ryzen 5 3600. I use my PC mainly for gaming. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is perfect for me to extend the life of my PC by a few years. So far I am very satisfied.

I am cooling ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports and the temperatures when playing 70 - 85 degrees. I am at 60 - 75 degrees with the same power output.
There is nothing to say about the overall performance, it's a beast.

I switched to it from an r5 3600 because my RTX 2070s wasn't keeping up in CPU intensive games like Apex, causing jerking at critical moments. Overall, I would recommend it if you primarily play games on the PC and do otherwise less CPU intensive work. Due to the price, it is only interesting for games and only for users switching from another processor to the AM4 socket.
The best gaming processor on the AM4 platform.
It is not demanding on cooling.
Price/performance ratio
Unless you already have an AM4 platform, it's not worth going for it.
If you are looking for a whole PC, it is better to go for AM5.

I bought it in combination with Endorfy Fortis 5 Dual Fan and I am extremely satisfied. The processor heats up quite a bit, but the problem is usually waste heat and not the processor temperature. If you have a cabinet with good air flow, you don't need to undervolt anything etc.
the best gaming processor on AM4
fits rtx 4070 ti and higher
now at a good price
processor for the next few years
I don't regret switching from the 5600

Perfectly adequate for gaming, older platform means lower board/frame costs, just nowhere to upgrade. After setting the temperature limit to 65C, the performance dropped only by about 3% which I think is a negligible difference and I don't have to worry if the processor is overheating or something. It doesn't brake RTX3070, so great
high gaming performance
ok consumption
does not brake RTX3070
