The case is landscape oriented when used as a stand, although the Kindle Scribe is portrait oriented only.

1. It does not have the possibility of recharging in the plates, in the closed state.
Other cases usually have a cut-out in the back for the connector.
2. The pen in the plates has a groove into which it can be dipped. It holds there tightly so it doesn't fall out when carrying and the plates can be fully closed. From the gutter, the pen
cannot be easily removed, which is a problem in normal use for writing. If I just put the pen down, the magnets attach it to the Kindle Scribe. This is sufficient when working, but then again, the top plate of the case cannot be fully closed. I'll probably modify the gutter a little over time.
I chose a case with a picture of an old library and I really like it, so overall I'm happy.
