I'm absolutely thrilled. The grinder feels more like a child's toy, because it doesn't spin the wheel when you turn it on, it's quiet, and overall the grinder is relatively light, stable, accurate, and you tend to think you have a harmless device in your hand. But he's an incredibly precise worker. For the money, there's nothing to solve. 8 OREGON chains sharpened in 90 minutes. When I first got acquainted with the grinder, I unnecessarily removed about 1.5mm from each tooth on the first chain. Gradually, however, you will get used to the system of setting and grinding and by the third chain you will know exactly what to "adjust" where. I recommend to have 2-3 chains for the saw and instead of worrying about sharpening one chain, I would immediately throw another chain sharpened like wheels in F1. I've been filing for a few years, but this year there was too much cutting in the garden and a file just doesn't sharpen your teeth as well as a grinder, and it's much faster. After sharpening, I strongly recommend to clamp the chain on the chainring in a vise and run a flat file over the limiting feet of the chain teeth. If you don't do this, the tooth will get progressively lower with use and grinding, and by the time it is as high as the defining foot in front of it, the chain will lose its ability to cut predatorily and you won't cut anything with the chainsaw, even if the teeth are sharper - this is where many DIYers make mistakes. I recommend anchoring the sander firmly to the table, it can be used without it, but you won't be as sure of cutting as if it were fixed firmly. I recommend it for all DIY and semi-professionals who need to sharpen up to 50 chains a year. I would probably choose something more expensive for a heavier workload. After all, this sander is somewhere between a file and a pro sander.
Stable design
Verified brand
Surprisingly quiet operation and low consumption
Possibility to adjust the depth of cut stop, cutting angle
Does not deflect, very accurate
Intuitive setup
Suitable for most hobby and pro chains
Does not sharpen the limiting foot of the cutting tooth (but no grinder can do that)
It is almost necessary to fix firmly to the table
For beginners, I recommend grinding the first chain on an older, finished chain, which you will get a feel for and learn how to grind.
