The grill heats unevenly, it comes from the heating element on the plate. The most effective surface has the shape of an ellipse. From what I observed, the grill heats up the plate and then goes to sleep, waits for the temperature to drop and heats up again. I expected it to continuously heat up and hold the temperature. The advantage should have been the BBQ layout. In reality, I make meat on the ridges, toast the rolls on the flat surface and then fold the meat. I would rather appreciate if the lid could be stuck at 45-60°, for such a quick turn. Sometimes you have to help turn the lid, especially when going from BBQ layout to closing. It tends to be in that horizontal position, then you don' t tilt it. Just lift it slightly from the bottom with a wooden spoon. As for carrying by the handle. I have respect for that. The handle doesn' t slide, but the grill is heavy and the lock is a piece of plastic. It can be seen that it opens a little on the other side, where the fuse is missing. The lock could have been metal.
