The phone looks great at first glance for a visually impaired retiree. A small number of buttons with sufficient spacing are suitable for larger fingers with less feel. The large menu font is easy to read. The USB-C connector (which is mandatory) is again a big improvement for the old man. You can only set the language on your phone, so it takes only a few minutes to set up the phone. So far, it looks like a great utility phone. On closer inspection, however, comes the disappointment of the phone's poor functionality. The phone does not display SMS at all, so the owner will not even know that something was sent to him. The phone has no contacts, no call history. It only shows the missed call (and here even with the name if the contact is on the SIM card), but does not allow you to call back. It is possible to make calls using only 4 buttons, which are set via SMS whose format does not allow saving USSD codes. The phone has pins to connect the cradle, but it is not included and the cradle from a previous phone from the same manufacturer does not fit. Which isn't a surprise though, as Evolveo is just a reseller and therefore has no control over the phone's design. The PIN card must be unlocked. When calling using the buttons, the phone does not give any positive feedback (vibration, sound), so a visually impaired person cannot be sure that the phone has dialed the contact. This phone is a great and novel idea for an uncomplicated phone for retirees. But the resulting product is exceptionally weak technically and this cannot be excused by the price. A more suitable choice is certainly a similar phone Doro 78OX, although considerably more expensive.

Good price/performance ratio. I appreciate the radio without the need for headphones. It is even still possible to insert a SIM in the original size (without the need to change to a micro or nano SIM card).
very easy to use
legible display
automatically set really loud listening
because the mobile phone does not have a classic keyboard, it is necessary to save the phone number so that the other person sends an SMS to this mobile phone in a certain format.
it' s a shame there' s no charging stand, that way it' s harder for grandpa to hit the charging port. Kudos to USB C though
