I needed a laptop to replace my seven year old slug. But at the same time, not to compete with my desktop PC and Mac Mini. Mainly so I can date the keyboard (for writing articles) anywhere. I'm glad I picked this one with that configuration. It works nicely, and even Photoshop will pick it up. I will definitely upgrade my RAM in the future. The 8GB is the minimum necessary. Realistically, shared graphics will eat up 2GB of that, leaving you with only 6GB available. So upgrade to 16GB RAM in the future for sure. The notebook has 2x4GB in it.
