A compact camera that almost fits in your pocket, with a magnetic holder that works reliably and for a long time, provided you can solve the initial puzzle of connecting it to the USB C port in your car. The camera can't communicate with it, so the car's electronics will disable the socket. You have to get around this by inserting a USB C to USB A adapter and then back again. Note that this contraption must be on the socket side, not the camera side. This creates a funny-looking stack next to your mirror or another socket of your choice (see attached photo). The adapters are a trivial expense and are available on Alza. Contrary to what some other users claim, I find the app to be slow but functional. The display can be turned off while the camera is running, it records in loops, overwriting the oldest videos, and it records audio, which can be turned off in the menu. Problems with opening some videos can be solved by formatting the card in the camera or on a PC; the manufacturer recommends doing this monthly.

The version with USB-C cannot be connected directly to the USB-C port in modern cars; it requires an adapter (C to A and back again), without which it won't charge and therefore won't work. The included 12-volt adapter for the “camping” socket will drain your battery, as these sockets don't usually switch off when you turn off the ignition, so the camera runs the whole time.
The app works, but it's relatively slow for downloading videos. It's better to take out the card and load the videos directly onto your computer.
The magnetic holder for the new generation with USB C is not compatible with the previous generation of the camera, which had a completely identical holder but with micro USB - the magnets have the opposite polarity.

I haven't even put it in the car yet and I'm already running into problems. The controls using the buttons on the camera practically don't work; for example, I haven't managed to open the menu even once. The mobile app that LAMAX boasts about doesn't exist, and they themselves recommend alternatives like LuckyCam. The power supply is problematic, as it can't handle a stronger current, so if you have modern connectors in your car, I'm not sure what to suggest. And to top it all off, it gets very hot after just a few minutes. I assume it's mainly the SD card when it's writing data.
