If I could, I'd give it 4.5 stars. I was looking for reasonably priced swimming headphones and I definitely found them in these. In fact, you don't even have much choice if you don't want to pay extra for Shokz. But Hive Bones certainly lived up to expectations. The sound quality matches the price (in this category), the maximum volume is not even needed when running and for swimming in combination with earplugs the volume is also sufficient (and I listen to podcasts in a foreign language). It seems to me that perhaps most of the negative reactions here stem from the inability of customers to read the description and instructions (the arc sticking out, the need to upload mp3 files, etc. ). Of course, when it comes to cheekbone headphones with integrated storage, this is something to be reckoned with. However, downloading music, audiobooks or podcasts and uploading them to your headphones is a breeze. And if you use Audacity, you can easily split a long audio track into short parts (eliminating the problem of accidentally switching the podcast after 30 minutes and having to start over). However, if I had a choice, I wouldn't go into cheekbone headphones again. I don't really understand what technically prevents to make headphones for swimming normally in the ears (today are waterproof and classic pips for 350 CZK). I don't see any advantages to this design, only limitations. They are definitely not comfortable to wear (they start to press on your temples instead of your ears). The connecting arc will always be at least a little bit of a commitment, even if you paid triple for Shokz (e.g. as you tilt your head more). The argument of more security due to perception of surroundings is also rather laughable. But as I said, it serves its purpose. Swimming goes by faster now.
