Really very sweet - and I like sweet. But, what would you expect from an energy gel that is mostly made up of sugars, right: -). Did he energize? Probably yes. I put it on after two thirds of the half marathon and - I finished it. So I guess it's okay. I definitely find the bag more practical than the tube.
