Waiting, lag, inaccurate function. The lights must be on all the time for the system to work, so you can forget about using the classic wall switches. And if you don' t have one PC or iPad that stays ON permanently at home, you don' t actually have a home center that lets you control the lights the second you step into the house. So you' re more likely to come somewhere and wait. The condition is lagging, you turn the wheel on the watch and the light dims after a while, but the condition on the display jumps back as if it were reflected.
And worst of all is the inability to set the light temperature depending on the time - if the light is not permanently on, do not expect the light to have a different color when you turn it on in the morning / afternoon / evening / night. It just turns on at some default level and then you can adjust it, but it can' t light up to the desired state right away.
Philips may be good, but Hue still needs time. About another 10 years before it becomes practical.
