We had to return it. The vacuum cleaner as such is probably good, but its software has rendered it useless. A heavy piece of carpet, which he had no problem riding on while scanning, is lava to him and he refuses to clean it. If I move it to him, he'd rather just throw an error. Actually, it doesn't even say what's bothering it, it just starts beeping and the app shows an "error", so I can't tell as a user what the problem is. It's also a completely normal carpet, no fluffy fluffy carpet that wasn't made for normal vacuuming. Into a smaller chamber (about 1.5x1.5m), where he originally had no problem, he suddenly drove in, turned around twice, decided that was it and drove back to the base. He actually made it through the whole thing on the 3rd try. In a long hallway with nothing in it, he cleaned well at first and then started doing stupid things and cleaning in circles instead of going zig-zag from the beginning of the room to the end and cleaning it lengthwise. He missed a lot of spots, but eventually decided he was done anyway and returned to base. When trying to completely scan the apartment, it missed one whole room and the map was saved in the app only on the 10th attempt, otherwise it threw an absolutely generic error that the map "failed to save". However, after a "successful" save, the map disappeared from the app, the button changed to "start", but the robot has nowhere to start because it has no map. --- It looks to me a bit like Rowenta bought a blueprint for a machine somewhere in China, got some basic software, put their logo on it and that was the end of it. Unfortunately, I'm not going to wait to see if it gets better with an update or not. This is supposed to work from the beginning and the problems are only getting worse rather than better and we've had the vacuum for about a week.
