Samsung Galaxy A57 in purple color pleasantly surprised me mainly by the design. The phone looks elegant, feels good to hold and the colour is pleasantly different from the classic black. The workmanship is of high quality and the overall impression is more valuable than I would expect in a mid-range. The display is one of the strongest points. The 6.7" AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate is beautifully smooth, colours are vivid and sunlight readability is very good. For watching videos or casual use, it's ideal. Performance is sufficient for everyday use - applications run smoothly, the system does not crash. But for more demanding games, it's not quite the top, where it is clear that it is a middle class. But for the average user, the performance is sufficient. The camera gives solid results in good light, the photos are sharp and colourful. In degraded conditions, the quality drops, but for normal photography or social networking, it's perfectly adequate. A big plus is the battery - it lasts all day without any problems even with active use. Charging is quite fast, so it's no problem to top up your phone during the day. Summary: A balanced mid-range phone with a nice display, long battery life and a nice design. Ideal for everyday use.
high quality AMOLED display (120 Hz)
long battery life
hilarious design and colour
ample storage (256 GB)
poorer performance in demanding games
weaker photo in the dark

The Samsung A57 surprised me with its lightness and slim design, it feels good in the hand. I appreciate the smart intelligence and the nice quality of the photos and the comfortable operation of the phone. But I do mind the significantly protruding camera and its layout, I liked it better on the A53. This is my only complaint otherwise I am 100% satisfied with the phone.

I bought the phone quite recently and I'm both excited and a little disappointed about it. The phone as such looks elegant, it is excellently processed, powerful enough, has a good display, good sound, sufficient battery life, simply in terms of hardware it meets everything I wanted from it. I am much less enthusiastic about the software. The phone has apps for everything - Bigsby Assistant, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Keyboard, and so on. It wouldn't be a bad thing if the apps had real Czech support in addition to a translated user interface. The default Bigsby doesn't understand Czech, so you'll probably swap it out for Google Assistant very quickly. Samsung Wallet does not support credit cards in the Czech Republic, so you need to install Google Wallet. But with Google Wallet on Samsung phones, you can't set it up so that you have to unlock the phone first for NFC payments. And that means you'll either be turning on NFC manually, or if you lose the phone, anyone will be able to pay with it even with the screen locked. Samsung Keyboard is decent, but voice input in English just doesn't work (you need to switch it to Google voice input). Not to knock the software, you also have features that other brands' phones don't have. For example, I really like the Modes and Routines for automating tasks on the phone. The AI features for photos and video are also interesting. And I liked the app to transfer data from my old phone. In summary, Samsung apps are good, but not everything works in the Czech Republic. The phone has long support for updates (6 years), so I hope they decide to do something about the support for other countries and languages. From the official Czech distribution I really expected better functionality of the software in the Czech Republic.
Sufficient performance without chopping
High quality display
Noticeably better sound than the old phone
Good camera
Elegant design
Easily transfer data from your old phone
Automation (routines and modes)
Some Samsung apps are limited in the Czech Republic, so you need to look for alternatives.
You cannot make payments via NFC conditional on unlocking your phone.

A57 pleasantly surprised me after a few days of use. Most of all, I appreciate its light and thin body, which makes the phone very comfortable to hold even during prolonged use. Performance is sufficient for normal use and more demanding applications, everything runs smoothly without stuttering. Modern features and long software support are also a pleasure.
Smooth performance without chopping
Quality display easy to read
Quality camera
Lightweight and slim design
Lack of memory card slot
No 3.5mm headphone jack
Only the cable is in the package, the charging adapter for the socket is missing

The new A57 within the A5x series brings a noticeably improved design over the previous generation, which surprised me in particular with its improved construction (including higher IP68 protection), which feels more premium in the hand, both in materials and noticeably thinner construction and lower weight - those 19 grams down are surprisingly quite noticeable in the hand. The battery capacity is kept at the same value as in A56, i.e. relatively decent 5000 mAh. So far, the A57's endurance seems good to me, but only time will tell after installing all applications and in different usage scenarios. In terms of performance, the new generation Exynos 1680 delivers about 15-20% extra performance over the previous one, which can be noticeable in more demanding usage scenarios. Otherwise, most things remain the same compared to the A56 - display, camera and charging. New are AI features that bring the phone slightly closer to the S series. However, if you're moving from an A35, it's a pretty significant upgrade. First of all, the performance is compared to the "poorer" older brother is much more noticeable, the ultra-wide camera has 12 MP compared to 8 MP, charging is faster thanks to 45W, the display has smaller black edges, and the difference in weight of 30g is already noticeable not only in the hand, but also in the pocket. And, of course, longer SW support (up to 6 years) and OneUI 8.5 right from launch. The photos show a comparison of A57 (grey) vs A35 (blue). The difference in body thickness is even more noticeable than in the photos.
Premium acting body
Thinner than the previous generation while maintaining battery capacity
Lighter, it's really quite noticeable
New AI features
Long SW support (up to 6 years)
Better eSIM handling compared to A35 and even A56
The display and cameras are unchanged from the A56
It doesn't have wireless charging, too bad, it could finally make it to the top A-range
It does not have a microSD slot, so you need to fully rely on the built-in memory, and choose a variant with sufficient capacity from the start

I'm switching from the A54 to the Galaxy A57. At first glance, the A57 looks much more premium, the phone is incredibly thin and light. It's holding up well. The display in the sun finally doesn't burn the eyes and everything runs lightning fast, which was not the case with the older A54 after a while. Progress can be seen in photography in the dark when photos can be very sharp. There are a few flies, though: Ergonomics: Because of the sharp edges and thin profile, my palms cut a little after holding it for a long time. But I solved it with a wrapper. Batteries: Although it recharges quickly thanks to 45W charging, I was surprised that the battery life is only "standard" i.e. only one day - the A54 subjectively seemed to me like a bigger holder. Price: The starting price tag is up again. Even though I have not let the A series for years, thanks to the fact that the price is again a little higher, I was considering this purchase for a while. In the end, chance solved it for me and I accidentally broke the original phone. The A57 is a great machine, but if my A54 still served me well, I'd probably wait another generation before buying it.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 is the king of the mid-range for 2026, with a cutting-edge 120Hz AMOLED display, great battery life and an improved camera that shoots sharply even in the dark. With long software support and IP67 water resistance, it's a sensible choice for any user.
A quality, stable phone to rely on.

After five years, I'm switching from the Galaxy A52, which was already noticeably slow. The difference in performance is huge. In terms of software, One UI 8 is a big change from version 6, and in terms of design, I found the older version perhaps a little clearer. What I miss the most is the SD card slot, through which I have transferred all my data and contacts for years. Despite this complication, the Samsung A-series is still a good choice.
