The Samsung S22 impressed me with the quality of the photos and the display, but due to the above glitches I was unable to judge the other features and returned the phone. Although I am (or at least used to be) a fan of smaller mobiles, I plan to buy a higher model in the future - S22+ or S22 Ultra (or adequate models from the upcoming new generation) for the following reasons: with regard to battery capacity and thus possible endurance, still possible higher display brightness and better camera option (Ultra).

beautiful display, readable even in bright sunlight
unfortunately I received a defective piece, sold as an unpacked item - the adaptive brightness sensor of the display did not work
at the same time, there was probably some defect causing increased consumption - with the power saving mode set, the display off, radio communication with the mobile network turned off, only connected to the Internet to a connection point at a distance of 1 meter, the device consumed 30-40% of the battery capacity in 24 hours. The mobile phone certainly has a powerful processor, but it should also be capable of low power consumption in this mode
unfortunately I could not assess the real battery life of the device

The camera looks solid too. I haven't taken that many pictures with him yet.
Weak flashlight. It lasts max one working day. It doesn't have many options to make it easier to use like Huawei or Xiaomi. The motion gestures across the screen are just the basic ones. I would expect more gadgets on a phone like this. For example, swipe the glass message to the left to move back. Fingerprint's not working well. I have Alza's Protective Glass applied and it reads the fingerprint one out of five times. I don't know if it's the glass or the generally weak fingerprint reader.

For battery life you have to turn off a lot of things that are hidden in the settings, especially 5G, processing speed optimized, have WiFi power saving mode on, I don't use any Cloud, just Google Photos, my display is at 120hz - without it the phone is meaningless. Just play around with the settings.

I've always had a Samsung, namely the Samsung Galaxy S1, S2, S4, S6 edge, S8, S20 and now the S22 series and this one is probably the worst I've had.
Beautiful design and materials used

Terribly poor battery life - I charge overnight and then 2x a day (battery life so 7-8h with more active use). With really heavy use, 3-4h only.
Price does not match what the phone can do
It's getting incredibly overheated. It's almost impossible to hold in your hand when taking photos or videos. Not to mention gaming, it's useless for that (it can handle all the games you can think of, but you'd have to wear gloves to keep it from burning)
No memory card slot. I always preferred Samsung over Iphone also because there was no memory card slot, now it doesn't matter, even Samsung doesn't have it anymore). Just programs and apps take up over 60BG of space, then music takes up some, and then what's left for photos and videos - 50BG? That's awfully low for the quality of the photos and videos. A couple of videos in full quality and the phone is full.

Before this phone, I had the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact for a few years, with which I was quite satisfied(compact size, great battery life, the camera was a bit weaker). The S22 was therefore one of the very few options on the market in smaller sizes for a long time. I was apprehensive about buying the S22, especially after a lot of reviews criticizing the Exynos processors(European variant) and battery. However, the phone is great, it's faster, it has a lot of new features, I quickly grew to like Samsung One UI Android, it takes great photos and the battery life. at least for me, it's similar to the Xperia I had. Overall it's a really great upgrade, I haven't had any problems with the phone so far. As for the battery. I still have mobile data, gps, bluetooth, wi-fi, 120Hz display(I tried 60Hz, which supposedly uses less battery, but I didn't like it - the image is more jerky especially in the menu. ), dark look android and battery protection turned on(phone only charges up to 85%). Despite this, I have not had any problems with the battery, it lasts me fine all day (calls, listening to music, browsing documents and emails, navigation in the car - here, however, mostly in the charger).
