I was a bit worried about the size when I switched to the Fold 8, but those concerns disappeared within the first week. It’s so lightweight I barely notice it in my pocket, and the outer display is finally wide enough for me to type quick messages one-handed without typos. But the main event happens when you unfold it. The inner screen is perfect for handling emails, editing documents on the go, and watching videos. The hinge and the crease in the middle are significantly less noticeable compared to older generations. The system runs incredibly smoothly even with three apps open at once. If you do a lot of work on your phone and can make use of the large screen, it's definitely a worthwhile investment.
The battery easily lasts a whole demanding workday.

I use the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 every day and it's absolutely fantastic. The unfolded display replaces a tablet, so dealing with emails or sorting things out on the go is incredibly easy. The phone is surprisingly thin, fits perfectly in the hand and the hinge feels really sturdy. The display is beautiful, the system runs lightning fast and the camera hasn't disappointed. I can't imagine going back to a classic phone now.

I'm a long-time user of Samsung's flagship phones, since around the Galaxy S10, and I've tried all the configurations. I was considering another upgrade to the S27, but as soon as I saw the new Z Fold8, I didn't hesitate. This is a mobile for anyone looking for a compromise between a "pocket-sized" phone and a large display. You can handle messages and notifications when the device is closed, and then tackle work, watching videos or social media in open-book mode. In summary - a multifunctional device that will please any tech enthusiast.

I switched from the Flip series and I have to say, the biggest surprise for me was the build and thickness. When folded, the Fold 8 is unbelievably thin – in your hand and in your pocket, it feels basically the same as an unfolded Flip 6 in a standard case. The difference compared to older generations of Folds is huge and the phone is great to carry around. I also have to praise the new aspect ratio of the outer display. It's no longer a narrow 'noodle', but a fully-fledged display that you can comfortably type on and operate the system with one hand, without having to open the phone every time. Both display panels are, as is traditional from Samsung, absolutely top-notch – excellent colours, high brightness in the sun, and great smoothness. If you're looking for an uncompromising work and multi-purpose machine that won't finally weigh you down in your pocket, this new generation has really hit the mark. A clear 5 stars.
Incredibly slim profile when folded.
Perfect aspect ratio of the outer display.
Top-notch quality of both displays.
Excellent performance and a smooth system.
Higher purchase price (but this corresponds to the top-of-the-range technology).

The FOLD8 is simply GREAT! As the guy from TechArena said in his review, it's not a phone for everyone (if only because of the price). I switched from an S24 and after a week of use, this is my experience: 1) BATTERY - hey, it's AMAZING! With the exact same usage as the S24 and only charged to 85%, it lasts for 2 days. And that's with me staring at the large display for 90 minutes. 2) PHOTOS - I can see a difference compared to the S24, the photos are BETTER! And also better than I expected based on the reviews. But I only take photos of myself and my family. 3) SIZE (form factor) - a non-folding phone of this size would be perfect for me. The size is brilliant! The battery could then last for 4 days. It's great to hold and fits perfectly in my pocket. 4) PRICE - I wouldn't have paid 50k for it, let alone 55k for an "apple". For 27 thousand, it's a steal. 5) 90° - although they say it doesn't hold, it DOES! And if you start a video, then the camera, and then select the video again via the III button, you've got yourself a little stand for watching. 6) SHARP CORNER - if you're left-handed, you're fine. But if you're right-handed, the corner by the hinge digs into your ear when you're on a call, and it's sharp! Holding it to your ear for calls feels strange in general. 7) SPEAKERS - for how thin the phone is, they're good. And if you put the phone in an Ikea stand, it doesn't matter that one speaker is at the bottom and the other is at the top. OVERALL IMPRESSION - I don't want any other size now. For a normal person who texts, calls, scrolls, reads, and watches videos, it's a super gadget. The only things are that I'm extremely careful with it. And that it presses into my ear.

I was surprised by how powerful it is, how well everything works and its form factor.
Battery is better than the S23
The displays are great. I use the outer one most of the day. The inner one in the evening. The 4:3 ratio is superb.
In your pocket
I play PC games with the GameNative app. Steam, GOG, Epic. New and old ones work.
A Steam Deck and tablet replacement finally without compromises
It can get hot when playing demanding PC games (Steam). But you just need to set the dynamic CPU/GPU/RAM performance management in the GameNative app, and the games still run the same.

I've had the phone for about 2 weeks, and as someone who works a lot with AI tools and also trades on the stock market, this phone is, after an extremely long time, absolutely fantastic. Its versatility is perfect, the speed hasn't disappointed so far, and the battery life of 1.5 days when unfolded is absolutely excellent (we all charge our phones overnight anyway). I'm genuinely thrilled and if Samsung were to also adjust the padding, I think the phone would climb to the top in many markets.
Comfortable size in the hand
Good battery life
Very sharp picture and excellent brightness even in sunny weather.
I was worried about the opening mechanism, but the option to split the screen for two or more apps is divine.
Charging speed
The phone is extremely pleasantly thin when unfolded
A poorly made Android for this type of phone, and you need to use other tools to make it more comfortable to use.
Unnecessarily large padding on a small screen which you can't get rid of, you can only reduce it by half, but even that is a crazy amount of space.
The camera lenses stick out, and when you put a screen protector on them, it turns your phone into a 1cm diagonal seesaw.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 takes the foldable phone category a step further, bringing great improvements. I particularly appreciate the smooth operation of the entire system, the more durable construction and the superb internal panel, which is a joy to watch multimedia content on or to comfortably edit work documents. In addition, the new Galaxy AI artificial intelligence features are a great bonus that really makes my daily use easier. In most respects, the phone has met my high expectations and the investment was definitely worth it. I recommend it to anyone looking for a two-in-one device.
