Value for money, durability is a question, too early to evaluate, compatibility with Synology ds225 is ok

We purchased two of these drives to expand the capacity of our home server. We were worried about noise and cooling issues, but both turned out well. The drives are quiet, only the head exposure is sometimes quite loud (under load), the temperature is within reasonable limits (there are a total of 4 drives in the server).
quiet, you can stand in the same room with it
Temperature around 40 °C in a standard PC case
came wrapped in bubble wrap and a bubble envelope
crazy price, but that's not the problem of the disc

CHECK IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE THIS PIECE I DESCRIBE BELOW A. ) The HDD was supposed to be brand NEW, but upon unpacking I found it to be ASI repackaged goods, with fingerprints and minor scratches in the threads on the contents, as if it was already installed in the computer. That is why I returned the goods immediately. B. ) Eventually we learned that the HDD was non-functional and just beeped and even crashed the test computer. C. ) shock sensitive HDD for 17 thousand CZK was delivered without transport packaging (bubble wrap) D. ) It's not the first time with HDDs, they're throwing it around like it's a miracle E. ) This is a systemic failure of ALZA that has been ongoing for several years F. ) Also, another shipment from the same day was a damaged cardboard box, apparently already opened once, but the goods inside were OK, so I kept it. G. ) KLAD - I returned the HDD immediately and the money arrived within 5 days
Nice service
Refund 17.590, - CZK within five days
Used goods (apparently), I immediately returned
According to Alza technicians, the HDD did not work
Alza has long been unable to handle expensive but sensitive goods such as HDDs etc.
A big waste of time associated with the return

In addition to the normal read head jerk that all Seagate drives make, this one makes a strange humming noise (like an untuned radio). So it is not very suitable for a PC or NAS that is in the living room, bedroom, etc. It's more suited for servers in a server room or NAS safely stored away from places where it can disturb you.
20TB capacity after formatting
It chirps and buzzes

As already written here - ". noise level when placed in a desktop PC. It is not a permanent noise - the plates are not particularly audible. But the noise and drumming that the headers make when they read and write".

When I was looking for a replacement for the low-speed drives in my home NAS, which are not manufactured in capacities above 8 TB, I was quite worried about noise. Ironwolf Pro surprised me though: in idle, it is practically not audible at all until I put my ear directly to the NAS, when reading/writing it is a little noisier than the original WD Red, but not fundamentally disturbing. I consider the 20 TB version to be a happy medium - high capacity and reliable conventional writing without SMR/HAMR.
Temperatures 30° - 40° C depending on load
virtually inaudible at idle
relatively quiet when reading/writing
filled with helium
CMR notation technology
20 TB capacity (10 physical platters)
arrived lightly tapped on the top aluminium cover

I chose as a precautionary replacement for my 7 year old Seagate Barracuda ST4000DM004 4TB, which had already accumulated more than 60,000 hours without error! And also 4TB was already "just right". For being a 5400 rpm SMR drive designed for PC for occasional universal use, it worked really reliably even when running in 24/7 mode for a while. With the new Seagate IronWolf Pro HDD, I was very shocked by the sounds it makes. I have very quiet Noctua fans in my PC, 3 other different HDDs, and I was virtually unaware of the PC when it was on. After installing this new HDD, I feel like I have brought a PC from a museum, because I can constantly hear the drive clattering correctly when reading and writing data as it once did long ago. The diagnostics show no problems, so this will be a feature indeed, unfortunately. Given that adequate competition is described in reviews as having similar performance, I guess I have no choice in this category of discs. So I just hope it will exhibit the same "immortality" as the predecessor I mentioned.
CMR
Price/quality/performance ratio(capacity)
Decent read and write speeds
Low temperatures (30 - 40°C)
7200 rpm. /min
It won't pull a more common sata/usb external adapter even if an external 12V/1A power supply is connected. Of course, it won't even spin without a 12V power supply. It may not be just a disadvantage of the drive though, I don't have a comparison to a more modern or better adapter.
A significant disadvantage is the noise level when placed in a desktop PC. It is not a permanent noise - the plates are not particularly audible. But the noise and drumming that the headers make, I've last experienced that with some server drives where noise is not a consideration or with really old HDDs when they made sizes like 320GB and smaller.
