I didn't used to believe in the efficiency and usefulness of robots, but now I know that they are an invaluable tool. Vacuums well on carpets and hard floors. Of course, it doesn't vacuum 100% in every corner, but it just needs to be vacuumed once in a while with a stick vacuum cleaner, with which this worker makes a perfect cleaning duo. I should point out that I don't rate mopping. The machine only offers basic mopping and I don't use it and I didn't plan to. I live near a busy bridge and I have old windows, so vacuuming my apartment is necessary at least once every 3-4 days, ideally more often, otherwise layers of "dust" or even dust puffs form. I remember one about 15 years ago that ran almost randomly, and the progress since then is really massive. I let him out every other day, maybe on weekends I put chairs on the table and open the curtains so he can get to places where it is normally harder for him to get to. Despite the expectation that the mopping function (more accurately, I guess, the wet cleaning function) would be useless, I'm glad for it in the end, I'll use it once a week or so. However, technically it is not as good compared to a human as the vacuuming function (it runs everything wet, nothing more, plus it is not allowed to add cleaning agents to the water in the tank). I generally don't like connecting "smart" devices to the home and controlling them via phone, but in this case it seems like a very suitable solution, thanks to the possibility of displaying a map, selecting rooms or areas to clean, the liveliness of individual components, etc. The app in this case is therefore not just a "mobile controller" (which is also included, by the way), as for example with sencor mobile air conditioners, but actually allows you to use the vacuum cleaner much more efficiently. However, although it is fast and relatively simple to use, some of the controls work in such a way that you feel like a tester, i.e. that they are not always designed optimally or do not always work as they should. Still, I think the app deserves a higher rating than what it has in the app stores.
It maps the space perfectly and is very systematic in its vacuuming. It first travels around the perimeter of the room and then gradually travels over large areas, from one end to the other, similar to cutting grass in a garden. He also handles the legs of tables and chairs well, and goes around them (when possible).
Handles low carpets and doormats with no problem (but of course not as effective on them)
Through the app, it allows you to set prohibited areas specifically for mopping, not only in general (i.e. "if you vacuum, you can go in there, but if you mop, you can't")
I was a bit worried that he would eat the curtains when they are on the floor, but he surprisingly gets around them beautifully.
Even though it doesn't get into all the corners of the apartment, I have to say that after about a month of using it, my apartment is much cleaner than before. No clumps or grey layers of dust.
When it gets stuck on a threshold or boost, it can "get angry", probably increase power somehow (I don't know how it does it, whether by an additional wheel or higher power) and get out of it mostly without a problem. If he can't, he starts whining and you have to put him back down, then you can press the main button to continue.
The app has a lot of good features: display of the lifetime of individual filters and brushes (although calculated only from the time of use, but it's still nice), map of the apartment where you can see exactly where the vacuum cleaner went during each vacuuming, adjusting the boundaries of individual rooms, creating "no-go zones", setting the order of rooms when cleaning and how many times (once or twice) to go through each room, or how much to suck in it and whether to mop, area cleaning function, where you can mark on the map in the application a rectangle (or more rectangles, they can be rotated in different ways) to clean, which is often useful when something is spilled somewhere, etc.
The app is snappy and relatively easy to use
So far it has not happened to me that the vacuum cleaner would get stuck (software-wise, i.e. it would freeze) or be offline, but it's true that I have good wifi coverage at home.
The app remembers the map and room divisions well, the vacuum cleaner can easily adapt to changes (e.g. when there is an extra chair, etc. ) and map update, only in area cleaning mode I have reservations (see minuses)
The app has some minor flaws - not that it freezes, but rather it's a bit busy in some ways - for example, if you want to select a room to clean (or to edit parameters when you're editing a map), you have to click on it, but not in the middle of the room where its name is placed, because it doesn't respond there. Also missing in the app is the ability to save rectangles for cleaning in the area cleaning function (e.g. save the area under the dining table, etc. ), although they can be named, but they just disappear after the cleaning in area cleaning mode (so why can they be named? ).
Another shortcoming of the app (or the vacuum cleaner? ) is for example that when you interrupt the room cleaning mode (cleaning only specific rooms) and you want the vacuum cleaner to go to another room, you have to switch to the "complete cleaning" mode and then back to "room cleaning", otherwise it will insist that it has to finish cleaning the divided room.
Pairing via bluetooth didn't work for me, I had to use pairing via QR code (it was instant)
In the area cleaning and room cleaning modes I find the vacuum cleaner more honest, it is also visible from the route record.
