I disagree that it's a "hit" and a "must have". I needed a normal small speaker for the living room, so that it could play cleanly and have a nice sound even at low volume. It's not worth it without a subwoofer. At higher volumes it gets better, but in normal listening it lacks bass, it sounds like a mid-range speaker. I understand that "you can't replace the material" and given the size it's a toss up what they'll get out of it, however I recommend trying before you buy. I did.
