This product is a disappointment for me, I didn't check the brand any extra (I have a thick exercise mat from them that I am happy with), I thought there is nothing wrong with plasticised dumbbells: -) But the Poland/China combination would be a clue. I expected that it would not be necessary to treat the dumbbell like a crystal glass, i.e. that the plastic will dampen. However, the cover is made of thin hard plastic. It slides in sweaty hands, the threaded seams dig into the palms of the hands and the average sized hand fits into the grip, so there is a chance that the sharp seams will scratch the thumb and pinky surfaces of the fist holding the dumbbell. Since the inner filling is "cement" according to the box, I assume that these are concrete castings and that they are not handled with gloves because the dumbbells rattle with more intense movements, so there will already be something crumbled; -)
Hard plastic, you cannot expect any at least minimal shock absorption during use.
The "seams" of the cover are protruding and sharp.
The cartridge is "rattling" inside, probably fragments caused by abrasion during transport?
