The glass - although supposedly to be exactly for the given type of phone - has much smaller dimensions. It is smaller by 2 + 2 mm on the sides, 3 + 3 mm at the top and bottom. The protection of the display is therefore highly questionable, usually the most endangered edges.

The cover glass is smaller than the phone (Redmi Note 7), so there is about 3-5 millimeters left along the edge, which is not protected. In addition, dust is trapped behind the edge of the cover glass, creating a visible “frame“ around the display. The previous cover glass (unfortunately I don' t know the manufacturer anymore) for the same model was up to the edge of the phone.
The cover glass does not fit “just“ - it does not reach the edge
