The reason for the purchase was the intention to use two monitors at the same time, when the docking station had an input for only one HDMI. Unfortunately, even in splitter mode this is not possible.

I only bought it to extend one HDMI in my laptop to connect 2 monitors. That doesn't seem to be working. So useless for me. Do not buy if you need an HDMI splitter!

It's not working as it should. It keeps looking for a signal, even when I switch it according to the device I want to watch on the monitor. Thus, it flashes every 5 seconds, making it unusable (I had it on two devices for one monitor - a console and a laptop. When I wanted to receive a picture from the console, it flickered even though it was set to HDMI from the console. Disconnecting the HDMI from the laptop didn't help either, I had to disconnect the switch completely. So I'm back to square one and switching both cables manually).
