I believe that for someone this device will be sufficient. I have no experience with more expensive models but buying this device just verified to me how useless it is. A beautiful example of throwing money away on something you don't know how long it will be supported by the app publisher. For me it is better to buy a mini PC for about 3k with 6Watt consumption on which you put any OS with a functional browser.

This review can be seen as a comparison with Xiaomi Mi TV Box, I have no other experience. So pros and cons compared to Xiaomi:
faster in everything, completely seamless loading of applications
O2-TV ready
LAN
excellent stability
remote control with numeric buttons
learning buttons for TV control
Absence of HDMI CEC, which is a fatal flaw nowadays, which pretty much degrades all the pluses
