I bought the Apple AirPods Pro 3 as an upgrade from the AirPods Pro 1, and the difference is really striking. Even on first listen, you can tell that the sound is clearer, more spacious and, overall, significantly more balanced. But I think the biggest improvement is in active noise cancellation (ANC) – compared to the first generation, it’s in a completely different league, and it’s finally truly ‘quiet’ on public transport or in the office. I was also very surprised by the improvement in comfort. The earphones sit more securely in the ear and don’t cause any discomfort, even when worn for long periods, which was sometimes an issue with the first generation. Control via the Apple ecosystem is, of course, seamless; instant pairing and switching between devices works exactly as you’d expect. All in all, it’s exactly the sort of upgrade that makes you realise straight away that making the switch from the first generation was worth it.

I have to say, I was quite sceptical when I placed the order. I bought the headphones mainly for the noise-cancelling feature. I live in the city centre, I work from home, and unfortunately they’ve started building a new house right opposite me, so it’s been incredibly noisy all day. With the help of AI, I chose which headphones would be best for me, and these turned out to be surprisingly the cheapest option given my high standards for ANC. I have to say it was definitely worth the money, because the ANC is absolutely top-notch, the sound is great, and so is the microphone. I can’t comment on the battery life yet, but they’ll be put through their paces over the next few days. I used to have Samsung Galaxy Buds, and after wearing them for a while, they made my ears hurt, but the AirPods have been really comfortable so far – I can hardly feel them in my ears once I’ve put them in.

I’m currently using AirPods with my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and I’m absolutely delighted with them. I used to own a pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro, and although they weren’t bad, the AirPods are in a completely different league. Whether it’s the sound quality, active noise cancellation (ANC), microphone clarity or, above all, comfort – they fit so well in my ears that I sometimes completely forget I’m wearing them. The battery life is also excellent. So far, the longest I’ve tested them for was about four hours of continuous listening, and the headphones handled it without any problems. When it comes to the ecosystem, many people are wary of combining Apple and Android, but it actually works surprisingly well. Advanced features such as adaptive mode, voice detection and head tracking can be set up once via any Apple device. The setting is saved directly to the headphones' memory, so you won't lose it even when using them with an Android device. The only things that definitely don’t work are certain sensors (such as automatic ear detection), and the automatic connection can be a bit temperamental at times, but that’s a minor drawback. What’s more, the typical pop-up animations that appear when you open a box can easily be handled using third-party apps. I use AndroPods myself, and they work a treat. If you own a Google Pixel, OnePlus or Oppo, the open-source LibrePods app is a great alternative. It doesn’t work on Samsung devices without rooting the phone (which I definitely don’t recommend, given the risk of banking apps being blocked), but it’s a great option for owners of the brands mentioned.
