I wanted to return the wipers because they just didn't fit my car. There are plastic paws on the sides that hang and even if you press them, you can't slide the wiper on properly anyway. Luckily, I came across this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=i8BtJKnz4NQ and especially the top-rated comment below it (definitely don't do it like in the video, but use a screwdriver and unscrew the adapter from one side), which directed me to how to detach the adapter on both the new and old wiper and swap them. So I now have new wipers on my car on the old adapters.
I take off a star for the mystification and the necessity of manual editing.
Impressive quality and robustness
Although they are presented as such, they probably don't fit most Passat B7 Variants - at least not my 2014 - see description

They work fine.
According to the filter according to the type of car, I received wipers that did not fit in the original place. I had to make a small adjustment to the dimensions with a knife.
