I've only had the Bosch SMH4EVX08E Serie 4 dishwasher for a week, but already I have to say that I'm thrilled with it. The first time I started it up, I was surprised at how quiet it is - I hardly know it's running, even in the evening when I'm in the kitchen. Compared to the old dishwasher, it's a huge difference. After the Eco 50 °C programme, everything was perfectly clean, even the burnt pan. A big plus is the function of automatic opening of the door after the end of the program - the dishes are then beautifully dry, even plastic boxes that the old dishwasher never completely dried. I like the internal layout too - the top basket can be easily adjusted higher or lower and the top cutlery drawer is much more practical than the classic basket. I can fit a lot in the dishwasher, so I can easily handle a whole day of dishes from the family at once. I've also tried controlling it via the Home Connect app and it works without any problems. So far I haven't found any major cons. Overall, however, the dishwasher looks solid, washes quietly and the result is great. After the first week of use I am satisfied and feel it was a good investment.

We have a lot of plastic containers and I wasn't expecting the problem of plastic overturning over and over bowls. With the previous Electrolux, this was rare. Now I have to fold carefully or, to load something and choose a silent program. For other programs, water pressure is too strong. It's noisy and not suitable for a large common room. That's why I choose the silent program and it's about as noisy as the one before, but the sound is more annoying. The washer has more soundproofing on it than the previous one, but the high water pressure and the plastic tub are probably what's causing the extra noise. In the eco programme, it doesn't wash well, just enough. For the last program, it washes good to excellent. If you start filling the front of the basket with plates, since there are fixed spikes, and next put something light, when you slide it out again, the basket will fit in the gap by the door balls. The first front wheels of the basket are too far back and if the front is too much heavier than the front, the basket will tip over. There is a build up of grease and dirt in the sul tank lid, I didn't register this with the previous washer. The top basket can be adjusted to three height positions, which is nice. However, the lower and upper position of the basket makes it difficult to find the water connection. So I use the middle position. Plastic bottom has some advantages over stainless steel, I see the problem in the connection to stainless steel. There is a gap of about a millimetre around the circumference of the tub where dirt can accumulate and rot. I do not recommend the dishwasher because it is in many details unfinished.
