The watch is doing the job for now. Bought because of my son’s location and in case I needed to ring him. You need a SIM card. They could be a bit smaller; the battery lasts a couple of days, but that’s only because of the GPS tracking and the fact that he uses them to make two calls a day – when he arrives at school and when he leaves school. I was a bit worried because of the reviews, but after a week’s use, it’s OK so far. However, as someone has already mentioned in previous reviews, you need to set the parameter to ‘non-Chinese’ on mobile networks. It gets its location data from GPS when it’s outside the building – that’s accurate – and when it’s at school, it uses Wi-Fi, and sometimes I have to refresh it a few times because it shows a different location – I’ll have a bit more of a play with it to see if I can set it to use only GPS and skip Wi-Fi location, but for now I’m happy with it as it is and it serves our purposes. Once he’s got a mobile, he’ll obviously be able to buy a better watch – and perhaps even one with an eSIM.
