Proven catcolite, a natural material that absorbs odours well. The only downside is that it is lightweight and therefore spreads everywhere. But that's just what you count on.

Cat's Best Original is a highly rated litter that I tried for the first time and so far I am happy with it. It clumps great (beware, the clumps are softer than bentonite), absorbs odor well (or I don't smell it anymore: ) ). It has some minor flaws, such as litter spreading and dustiness (but much less than bentonite-based litters) or some users write changes in quality, so I am satisfied so far and recommend this product. When I replace the new one, I'll try to sift the old one through the mesh and keep the larger wood fibers (probably not pellets) for reuse. The cat accepted the litter change just fine.
